Cookie policy

This Policy applies to “cookie” files and refers to www.kancelariakrs.pl website.

What are “cookies”?

Cookies should be understood as IT data, in particular text files stored in users’ terminal equipment intended for the use of websites. These files make it possible to recognize a user’s device and display a website adapted to their individual preferences. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the length of time they are stored on the terminal equipment and a unique number.

What do we use cookies for?

Cookies are used to tailor the content of websites to your preferences and optimise the use of websites. They are also used for creating anonymous statistics that help you understand how you use the website and improving its structure and content, excluding your personal identification.

What cookies do we use?

In principle, there are two types of cookies, “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. Session cookies are created temporarily in your browser’s subfolder while you are visiting a website. Once you leave the site, the session cookie is deleted. On the other hand, persistent cookie files remain in your browser’s subfolder and are activated again once you visit the website that created that particular cookie. A persistent cookie remains in the browser’s subfolder for the duration period set within the cookie’s file.

Cookies used by the website operator’s partners, in particular website users, are subject to their own privacy policy.

A detailed division of cookies is following:

A. TYPES OF COOKIES DEPENDING ON THE NECESSITY TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE

Necessary ones are absolutely necessary so that  a website or functionalities which the user needs to use can work properly.
Functional ones are important for the operation of the Website:

  • they enhance the functionality of the service – without them the service will work correctly, but will not be adjusted to the user’s preferences,
  • they ensure a high level of functionality of the Website. Without the settings stored in the cookie, the level of functionality of the website may decrease, but it should not prevent full use of it,
  • they aim at very important functionalities of the service; if blocked, selected functions will not work properly.

Business ones allow implementation of the business model based on which the website is made available; if blocked , it will not result in unavailability of all functionalities of the website, but it may reduce the level of service provision due to the lack of possibility for the website owner to realize revenues subsidizing the operation of the website. This category includes e.g. advertising cookies.

B. DEPENDING ON TIME A COOKIE FILE WILL BE STORED ON THE USER’S END DEVICE:
  • session cookies located on your browser for the duration of browsing (a session), is deleted when you close it.
  • persistent cookies are not deleted when you close your browser and are stored on your equipment between browsing sessions until expiry or deletion without a period of validity depending on the settings of the website owner.
C. DEPENDING ON THE ORIGIN – THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE WEBSITE, WHO MANAGES COOKIES:

First party Cookies placed directly by the owner of the website that has been visited.
Third-party Cookies placed by external entities whose website components have been triggered by the website owner.
Note: Cookies can be triggered by the administrator using scripts, components that are located on the partner’s servers e.g. in a different country or even a completely different legal system. In the event that the website administrator calls up website components coming from outside the administrator’s system, other standard rules of cookie policy may apply than the website administrator’s privacy / cookie policy.

D. DEPENDING ON THEIR PURPOSE:

Configuration of the service allows setting functions and services in the service.
Safety and reliability of the service enable verification of authenticity and optimisation of the service efficiency.
Authentication informs when a user is logged in so that the website can display relevant information and features.
Session status allows recording information about how users use the site. This may include the most frequently visited pages or possible error messages displayed on some pages. Cookies used to store so-called ‘session status’ help to improve services and make browsing more comfortable.
Processes enable smooth operation of the website itself and its features.
Advertisements allow displaying ads that are of the interest for the users, and at the same time more valuable for publishers and advertisers, personalizing ads, and also displaying ads outside the pages of the website (a domain).
Location allows matching the information displayed to your location.
Analyses and research, audience audits enable website owners to understand preferences of their users better and , through an analysis, improve and develop products and services. Basically, the website owner or a research company collects information anonymously and processes data about trends without identifying the personal data of individual users.

E. TYPES OF COOKIES DEPENDING ON INTRUSION INTO THE USER’S PRIVATE SPHERE:

Non-harmful Cookies include such cookies as the ones:

  • necessary for the proper functioning of the website,
  • necessary for the functionality of the website to work, but their operation has nothing to do with tracking the user.

Tracking Cookies are a specific type of Cookie that is distributed, shared, and read across two or more unrelated Web sites for the purpose of gathering information or potentially to present customized data to you, however, do not include information to identify the data of a specific user.

Do Cookies contain personal data?

Personal data collected through the use of cookies can only be collected for the purpose of performing certain functions on behalf of the user. Such data is encrypted in a way that prevents unauthorized access to it.

How to delete Cookies

The software used for browsing the web pages allows default placement of “cookies” on the final device. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of Cookies in the settings of the web browser or to inform about them each time they are sent to the user’s end device. Detailed information about the possibilities and ways of handling Cookies is available in the software settings (a web browser).
